A FINE AND RARE LIMITED EDITION 18K GOLD AUTOMATIC CALENDAR CHRONOGRAPH DOUBLE FACE WRISTWATCH Model: Double Face Chronograph Reference: 3870 Date: c. 1990s Movement: 25-jewel automatic Dial: Silvered Case: Round, with telemetre, tachymetre and pulsometer on the reversed dial, No. 01 Strap/Bracelet: Endangered species Buckle/Clasp: 18 gold buckle Signed: Case, dial, movement and buckle Size: 36mm Accompaniments: None Footnotes: Known to be the 'Master of Complications', Franck Muller found the brand with Vartan Sirmakes in 1991. Muller was always passionate about various complications and designs, and his Double Sided Chronographs was one of his most famous complications. The present timepiece has two distinctive dials, the front features a conventional chronograph dial. On the reserve side, the second dial features a large pulsometer, tachymeter and telemeter scale calibration. In addition, the watch is marked No. 1, indicating its early manufacture in this model's production line. With its well preserved condition, the Double Face Chronograph is truly the brand's most regarded chronograph symbol, and a beautiful example for collectors to consider as an addition to their collections. **Potential bidders who intend to export this lot are advised that certain permits may be required for import or export of the endangered species strap (i.e. alligator and crocodile) to the state of California and any non-US countries due to CITES regulations.
