Claire Foy (as the Queen): A tulle dinner dress Season 2, Episode 8, 'Dear Mrs. Kennedy' Powder blue tulle gown with gathered bands studded with diamantés, grey velvet shoulder straps and waist band, a pair of ice blue satin heels by Rainbow, a silver beaded evening bag and a pair of ivory satin above the elbow gloves by Cornelia James, with handwritten label reading E.R II, together with a pencil and watercolour sketch of the gown by costume designer, Jane Petrie (5) Footnotes: As worn by Claire Foy (as the Queen) on the set of Buckingham Palace, in the scene with Michael C. Hall and Jodi Balfour (as the President and Jackie Kennedy). Jane Petrie, Costume Designer for Season 2 of The Crown, has worked on numerous film and TV projects, from Top Boy to The King. However, it was for her work on The Crown, specifically the 'Dear Mrs. Kennedy' episode, which won her the 2018 Primetime Emmy Award® for Outstanding Period Costumes. Condition Report Dress with a number of pulls and missing diamantes. Shoes size 6 with some marks. Gloves size 7. Gloves and bag in fine condition.
