Original vintage World War Two poster - Lick Them Over There! Come On Canada! - featuring a dramatic image depicting soldier in uniform holding a bayonet rifle gun in one hand and looking at the viewer, pointing towards Nazi German Swastika symbols in the battle smoke above Great Britain as he steps over the Atlantic Ocean on a map on the globe below, a peaceful church and village in Canada by his right boot and a Union Jack flag flying behind anti-aircraft guns by his left leg with warships sailing across the sea to help defeat the enemy, the stylised text in red above the soldier shouting and in bold blue lettering below. Issued for the Department of National Defence by the Director of Public Information Ottawa. Printed in Canada. Fir condition, loss, tears and staining on the margins. Country of issue: Canada, designer: Unknown, size (cm): 46x30.5, year of printing: 1940s.
