Original vintage World War Two poster - News in Pictures / Nieuws in Beeld - Weekly Edition of the Allied Information Service, featuring photographs of 25 April 1945 of American and Ukrainian army generals; Cap. of Grenadiers Fedor Lipatkin raising the red flag on Berlin building; an American tank rolling through liberated streets of Bologna; Last hours of Bremen: with British infantry entering the city under the tank protection; American soldiers marching through Nuremberg after it's capture; loading of the aircraft with more than 3 tons of food aid, including sugar, chocolate, canned vegetables to end suffering of the starving population of the Netherlands; During a meeting between Count Bernadotte and Himmler, the latter made a proposal to the mediator for the unconditional surrender of the Reich. This proposal was only aimed at Great Britain and the U.S. not to Russia and was therefore rejected; The American flag was hoisted in Aka Shima, near the Japanese island of Okinawa where American troops landed six days later. The occupation of these islands has made it possible for the Allied forces to use existing airfields; the horrible acts, by Germans involved in concentration camps caused outrage throughout the world. Camp v. Belsen, which was liberated, S.S. guards were forced to load the bodies of the victims onto wagons. Good condition, creasing, fold, staining, bumps on edges. Country of issue: Netherlands, designer: Unknown, size (cm): 102x50, year of printing: 1945.
