Original vintage post World War Two poster commemorating the 10th anniversary of the Liberation Day / Bevrijdingsdag, with costumed parades, family parties, gymnastics, equestrian shows, dance parties, torchlight procession and bonfire, the poster features the coat of arms of Amsterdam with a red shield and a black pale with three silver Saint Andrew's Crosses, the Imperial Crown, two golden lions and the motto of Amsterdam: Valiant, Steadfast and Compassionate, with stars, music keys and yellow rays emanating from the coat of arms and the flag of Netherlands framing the image. Printed by Jong & Co, Hilversum. Good condition, creasing, tears. Country of issue: Netherlands, designer: Dirksen, size (cm): 60x45, year of printing: 1955.
