Rita, Sue and Bob Too 1987 was a British comedy written by Andrea Dunbar and directed by Alan Clarke starring Holmes, Finneran and Costigan. Set in Bradford, the film is about two teenage schoolgirls seduced by a married man. Dunbar adapted the film from two of her stage plays: Rita Sue and Bob Too (1982) and The Arbour (1980), which were first performed at the Royal Court Theatre. The plays were loosely based on Dunbar's experiences growing up in council housing.
