From a series of photographs taken in July 1956, just after the opening of Look Back in Anger at 8 Pelham Place, Kensington Cecil Beaton's own residence. According to John Osborne's biographer Peter Whitebrook, Beaton commented that Osborne had 'the face of an elegant camel' (Whitebrook, p. 109).
