William IV 1822 pattern British Infantry army officer's sword. Yataghan shaped steel blade (57cm), with 3/4 fuller channel, indistinct stamp marks to ricasso and maker's signature to spine. Gilt metal hilt with scrolled quillon and two bars bearing oval cypher for William IV, and folding langet. The backstrap bearing a stylised flame surmounted by a stepped pommel and plain tang button. Knurled shagreen grip with gilt wiring. Overall length 71cm.
A FINE OTTOMAN YATAGHAN TYPE SWORD AND SCABBARD. With a 67 cm curved blade with tapering back and pointed tip, decorated with light cross-blade lines and stamped mark. With a fine white metal mount and handle, all-over decorated with scrolling foliage. The leather covered scabbard with matching white metal mounts. 86 cm overall. *CR some damage to end of handle, otherwise in generally very nice condition. A fine decorative example.

Rare Italian Model 1869 Valdocco System Rifle Bayonet 22 1/2 inch, single edged, yataghan blade with wide fuller. Forte with small stand crown over "FT" (Turin Factory). Steel muzzle ring and slight turn up crossguard. Brass ribbed grip with steel locking spring and large steel pommel nut. Together with copy International Bayonet Association report on this pattern of bayonet.

French Chassepot Bayonet with scabbard. With the usual ribbed brass grip with integral push button release catch. Yataghan style singled edged blade, with fuller and flattened spine. Dated 1868 to the spine. Complete with correct scabbard. Approximately 71cm length in the scabbard, blade length 56.5cm. Condition: generally good. The whole piece would appear to have had some sort of varnish added in the past, scabbard included, which gives the piece a slightly glossy look. Some slight pitting to the tip area of the blade.

THREE VARIOUS SWORDS AND A BOYONET, this lot includes a Balkan Yataghan sword, this is usually from the 19th Century and features an oversized Walrus handle, the blade has rusted and it is missing its scabbard, the 2nd sword features a wooden grip with a cross shaped hilt, the blade is etched but worn in places, the cross guard has rusted and the scabbard has broken near the end, the 3rd sword is a curved sabre, it features an etched blade that is rubbed in places, the cross guard has rusted but the sire bound grip is good, the bayonet is a Wilkinson 1907 pattern, the markings on the blade are just legible but the scabbard is broken
A British Pattern 1856 Two-Band Enfield Sword Bayonet, with 58cm yataghan fullered steel blade, possibly German, with chequered black leather grips scales, the pommel indistinctly engraved, probably "V/M X A1/ 228", (scabbard lacking); a British 1907 Bayonet by Sanderson, the 43cm blued steel blade with maker's name and issue date for September 1910, bend mark and various inspector's marks, with hooked quillon, wood grips and steel pommel stamped 1.CT. 431, with steel mounted leather scabbard and crushed leather frog stamped LONDON 1915 (2)1 - Blade appears to have been cleaned. Faint patches of rust remain. Finish to leather grip scales worn. Spring clip operative. 2 - Minor bruising to grip, pitting to scabbard mounts.

(3)1 - Black patching to blade, rust pitting to crossguard and scabbard which has a dent to one side; 2 - Black patching to blade, rust pitting to crossguard and scabbard; 3 - Orange rust patches to blade which bears traces of original bluing, orange rust pitting to scabbard, bruising to grip scales, later wood scabbard.
