British War Medal "2607 J W SHINN 16 BN AIF" Private Griffin landed in France on the 6th November 1914 and was reported wounded on the 30th January 1915 with his discharge on the 3rd June 1916. ... Pte Frederick Lawton enlisted in 1915 and served with the 4th Bn Yorkshire Regiment he was wounded and discharged on the 8th August 1917. Private James William Shinn enlisted at Keswick South Australia, he was Killed in Action on the 7th August 1916 whilst attached to the 48th Bn.

Army Service Corps 1918 WW1 Memorial Plaque. Issued to commemorate the ultimate sacrifice of OSCAR VERNON QUANTICK ... The plaque is accompanied by a folder of research in to the death of Private Quantick. Unique named Plaque. M2/226701 Private Oscar Vernon Quantick was accedently killed on the 28th April 1918, whilst serving as a driver with 776th MT ASC unit. On this day he was driving in a petrol lorry which turned into a Railway Yard at Hove, jumping out to go to the rear of the lorry, he was crushed when a steam wagon reversed into his and trapped him between the tailboards.

The solid gilt metal guard with crowned device, this engraved with the name MACKENZIE DALLAS RN. White shagreen grip surmounted by a lion's head pommel. Housed in leather scabbard with gilt metal mounts. Etching to blade clear. Gilt mounts have been polished. Attributed to Engineering Lieutenant Commander Dallas Mackenzie, who was commissioned from Warrant rank in 1914 and was Mentioned in Despatches for his service onboard HMS Malaya during the Battle of Jutland. In 1918 he was serving as acting Lt Cdr onboard HMS Radstock.

166th (Harwich) Siege Battery Royal Garrison Artillery WW1 Casualty Medal Group. Awarded to "340024 SJT H G GOULD RA". British War Medal, Victory Medal, Territorial War Medal "79 CPL H G GOULD RA", Bronze Memorial Plaque "HARRY GORDON GOULD". Medal loose Sergeant Harry Gordon Gould from Harwich served with the 166th Siege Battery RGA which was formed at Harwich Essex. He died of wounds on the 19th September 1917. Both regimental numbers are confirmed.

Both intems with original ink stamp "2 BRKS 8010" VGC (2 items) 8010 Private Frank Taylor of the 2nd Berkshire Regiment a pre war regular had enlisted in 1905, he landed with the Battalion in France on the 6th November 1914, prior to this the Battalion was stationed in India. It remained on the Western Front throughout the war. Taylor was reported wounded on the 31st My 1915 confirmed serving with the 2nd Bn and was discharged with the award of a silver war badge on the 27th July 1915

This with various stamps and ink numbers. Good clean condition. This shirt was discovered in the suitcase of the previous lot 338 the collection of Home Guard uniform.
