AN EARLY DERBY SWEETMEAT STAND circa 1765, with two tiers of three shell-shaped dishes enamelled in polychrome to the interior with butterflies, insects and sprays of flowers, the sectional stand modelled with various shells and seaweed surmounted by Neptune and a dolphin with tail raised, 47cm highProvenance: The Grey-Egerton Family, formerly of Oulton Hall.Note: This centrepiece is recorded on Sir Philip de Malpas 1864 publication The Descriptive Catalogue of the Pictures and other Works of Art at Oulton Park, Cheshire, page 68. It is described as 'Old Chelsea' 'representing Neptune enthroned on a pyramid of shells'. This piece was exhibited in Manchester in 1857 on which occasion the figure of Neptune lost the left arm holding the trident. 'In a bill of Duesbury's, of September 1773, the following entry occurs: "A trident for Neptune gratis"'.

Capt Vivian Gunton. Concorde signed 12 x 8 colour photo. Captain Vivian Gunton started flying in 1958 with an RAF Flying Scholarship - on a Tiger Moth - at a grass aerodrome called Fairoaks. On leaving school he took one of the 42 places offered at the College of Air Training, Hamble, when it opened in 1960. After graduating from the College in 1962, Viv joined British European Airways and spent 8 years flying around Europe and the UK, first on the Vanguard then flying Tridents which were at that time the fastest civil passenger aeroplanes in the world. Promoted Captain in 1970, he spent 7 years flying in Scotland, which included three years flying the Scottish Air Ambulance Service and landing on the beach at Barra in the Outer Hebrides. He returned to London to fly the Trident again, and with the demise of the Trident in late 1985, Viv needed to find something faster to fly and so became a Concorde Captain. He flew Concorde for 11 years until he retired in September 1996. He subsequently spent two years, part time, flying a King-Air for Cega Air Ambulance. Viv lives with his wife in Odiham. When not gardening or flying aerobatics in a Chipmunk, they may be found narrow boating at a mind-bending 4 m.p.h. Good condition Est.

The dimensions in complete mounted state are: 57cm high; 28cm wide; 13cm deep (protrusion).

1890 Victoria bronze Halfpenny (S 3956). Obverse: left-facing 'Bun Head' bust, 'VICTORIA D: G: BRITT: REG: F: D:' around. Reverse: seated Britannia with shield and trident, lighthouse and sailing ship behind, 'HALF PENNY' above with the date (1890) below. Grade: MS 64 BN (# 6674933-002).

A silver sapphire and diamond open trident style ring, with three central pear cut sapphires, all claw set, into three lines of eight cut diamonds, all grain set, to a tapered square section shank, sapphire weight stated as 0.72ct in total, diamond weight stated as 0.14ct in total, tested as silver, 1.59g Ring size PBuying this gemstone ring at auction could save up to 0.42 tonnes of CO2e compared to buying new. Condition ReportVery slightly out of shape. Ring is open to head. Care should be taken if adjusting the size of the ring. Appears to be in unworn condition.

PCGS have slabbed and graded 8x pieces, of which none are finer also.
