An 18th Century Dutch Delft Blue and White Tobacco Jar, of ovoid form with everted rim, the fascia painted with baroque style reserve centred by the inscription "Straats Burg" flanked by Red Indians in feather head dresses and skirts smoking long pipes, the base with CPK marks in blue for the family Brouwer at the pottery "De Lampetkan", {25.5cm high} (lacking original brass cover, glaze loss to rim).
