Taxidermy: Polar Bear (Ursus maritimus), circa mid-late 20th century, a young adult skin rug with limbs outstretched, glass eyes, mouth slightly agape bearing teeth, nose to tail 210cm, across the forelimbs 216cm, across the rear limbs 197cm, backed onto dark blue linen material front left paw in need of repair (damaged), all claws remain, both ear tips have suffered deterioration, considerable rubbing to the nose and muzzle, both nostils have suffered damage, some shrinking around the gumline, natural teeth remain, i do not know if the original natural skull remains within. some hair loss to the top of the head. split to either side flank, yellowish discoloration to fur overall. Due to ever increasing complications regarding the export of CITES protected species from the UK, we would suggest buyers from outside the UK do not try to purchase this Polar Bear skin rug, due to the age of this particular specimen there are no CITES documents available or required.
