A Danish pottery preserve pot and silver cover, by Saxbo, model 223, the squat body with pale green glaze, the silver cover with open basket finial, silver stamped '830S' assayer's mark Johannes Siggaard, Copenhagen 1948, facsimile signature 'C.Autosen'?, diameter 9cm, height 7.5cm.Condition report:No issues with the silver cover except for some spot tarnishing, it is a good fit to the pot. The body of the pot has an ingrained hairline running down the full height of one side. Throughout the glaze there are dark lines that appear almost under-glaze which could be hairlines in the body of the pot, or could be a craquelure effect. Adjacent to the ingrained hairline is a slight crack that travels along the rim for 2.5cm, and elsewhere on the rim there is a slight chip. The interior of the pot has ingrained crazing lines to the base. The underside of the pot is good, no damages.
