An Early 19th Century Indian Ivory and Bone Veneered Miniature Secretaire, "The Randle Cabinet", circa 1860, containing numerous heirlooms and curiosities, mainly collected by Captain James E Randle, the upper panelled section with small door, over a fall front enclosing an interior with upper long drawer, two long and two short drawers, the central drawer enclosing hidden drawers, faced with foliate engraved panels framing pierced panels enclosing birds and animals, upon bracket feet, {38cm high}; the contents briefly including an ivory purse with reverse painting on glass mount, coachman's and servant's buttons, a purse fashioned from a walnut, a Mauchline "Clacton on Sea" ruler, a brass penner containing an inscription "Taken from backpack of Russian soldier at Alma", lead bullets picked up by whilst in the Crimea, five Chinese carved and pierced peach stones, a woolwork evening purse etc
