Registration No: E914 NOW Chassis No: SAXXFWNM1BD641639 MOT: May 2025Displaying a credible c.46,000 milesOffered with a history file, original handbook and the current V5CImported into the UK in 2016Finished in Black, original side decals, Grey cloth seats and Red carpets plus seat beltsThe MG Metro was introduced in May 1982 some 18 months after the closure of the MG factory at Abingdon. MG’s first attempt at the then new ‘hot hatch’ era, it was the perception of many manufacturers that most car buyers were concerned open top two seat sports cars were something from the past. The MG Metro boasted some quite positive features for the day including the standard use of powerful servo assisted brakes using four pot (piston) calipers up front, very competitive performance and superb economy courtesy of the responsive and well proven A+ series engine. With around 120,000 made between 1982 and 1990, most are of the facelift variant launched in October 1984 where the bonnet line was lowered and streamlined, and a new interior and dash moulding was introduced.First registered in the UK on 1st November 2016, this Austin Rover MG Metro was for a Maltese customer and despatched to them from Muscats Motors Ltd Msida, Malta (original despatch note on file), being first registered in Malta on 27th May 1988. Leading a charmed life in the sun, the MG Metro resided in Malta (a right-hand drive market) until 2016, subsequently being exported from the Mediterranean island at the end of June 2016 and displaying some 40,500 miles (65,287km recorded on the Maltese documents). Back in the UK the MG Metro was registered in the mainland UK with its current registration number ‘E914 NOW’ before reaching its new owner, where it remained with them until spring 2023 before being subsequently sold to our vendor. Now with two former UK keepers recorded, the interior is in 'Good' condition, the seats have survived well with some of the trim showing the usual sagging often seen on 1980s cars. Subject to cylinder head work in c.2017, the MG has also benefitted from a new exhaust along with new suspension units. Offered with a collection of paperwork, invoices, MOTs, a copy of some Maltese export paperwork and the current V5C, this is an opportunity to purchase an MG Metro that spent many years in a forgiving car environment, that is still RHD and UK specification. Registration No: CVG 967F Chassis No: CD/7319-L MOT: ExemptJust one registered UK keeper since being repatriated from AmericaConverted from LHD to RHD as part of an extensive, 'chassis up' refurbishmentOffered for sale at a fraction of what it would cost to professionally restoreOnly available from August 1967 until September 1968, it is estimated that just 1,300 or so of the 8,484 Triumph TR250s made remain in existence. Powered by Triumph's lusty 2.5-litre straight-six engine, albeit in a slightly detuned state to satisfy America's growing emission laws, the model shared much mechanically with the TR5 including all-round independent suspension, front disc brakes and rack and pinion steering. According to its accompanying British Motor Industry Heritage Trust Certificate, chassis CD/7319-L was completed to left-hand drive, North American Export specification on August 6th 1968. Despatched to Walter Hagan & Company GmbH of Krefeld, Germany the following month (presumably for delivery to a US serviceman stationed in that locale), the Triumph was repatriated from North Carolina during December 2020. Various photographs on file show that the TR250 was stripped to a bare chassis thereafter prior to being extensively restored by its only UK registered keeper. A retired engineer with experience of bodywork repairs, he converted the sportscar to right-hand drive as well as repainting it Old English White, re-trimming the front seats / door cards and replacing the dashtop, hood and carpets. The engine was treated to a new timing chain, bearings, gaskets, piston rings, fuel / water pumps and front / rear crankshaft oil seals, while the rear axle was uprated with a higher final drive ratio. The brakes, suspension and fuel system were all gone through and a new stainless steel exhaust fitted. The ignition system was upgraded and the number stamped into the 2.5-litre straight-six engine pleasingly matches that quoted on the Heritage Certificate. Entrusted to renowned marque specialist TR Bitz for a check over last August, ‘CVG 967F’ had attention paid to its rear hub units and springs. Yet to be fully run-in after its rejuvenation, this smart TR250 comes with a plethora of parts invoices which must total a decent chunk of the guide price! Seemingly as clean underneath as it is on top, this handsome Triumph comes with a V5C Registration Document, history file and TR5 pedal box (the one currently installed is better suited to someone with small feet). PLEASE NOTE: This lot was formerly fitted with overdrive which has since been removed. The seller was under the impression that the rear axle ratio had been raised to compensate but has not had this independently verified and does not know the current final drive ratio. For more information, please contact: Damian Jones damian.jones@handh.co.uk 07855 493737

The SL65 AMG emerged as a stylish roadster powered by a V12 leviathan capable of crushing competition at a push of the acceleration pedal. The twin-turbo, 6.0 litre engine delivers a massive power output of 604hp which is tamed through an intricate network of electronics and safety features. Torque output is high enough to keep the driver pinned to the bucket seat upholstered with perforated leather at a max 1,000Nm, detuned from 1,200Nm, while the five-speed automatic transmission with manual capability provides great control over raw power. Style is guaranteed by the sleek body design and new 19" dual spoke AMG-signature alloys which camouflage the eight-piston caliper performance brakes. It is a beautifully packaged and ridiculous collection of power, sumptuous comfort and noise. According to the UK Sales figures, just 35-40 CL 65s were officially sold in Great Britain between 2004 and 2005 and in fact only 777 were produced worldwide, with pre-existing customers invited to purchase. It houses the same engine as the Maybach 57, 62 'S' models and the Pagani Huayra supercar. This superb example of this rare model is presented in silver with black leather interior. It comes with a very concise service history with many stamps in the service book, two sets of keys and has had only three owners from new. This SL65 AMG version offers 604bhp from its twin-turbocharged 6.0 litre (5,980 cc) V12 at 5,500 rpm which is superb performance even by today’s standards, let alone a Mercedes that was manufactured 20 years ago! These models are a true collectors dream and makes for an exhilarating drive, made even better by its exhaust note.
