A Pinxton part tea & coffee service, 1796 - 1813, the white body with gilt Greek key band above part shaded leaf pendants, pattern number 335, comprising sugar bowl and fish tail stand, 5 coffee cans, 3 tea cups and two bread platesCondition report: All items have some degree of gilt rubbing to the rims. All three tea cups have pattern number 335 painted on, and all ring out nicely.Of the five coffee cans, one has a rim chip from which issues a 7mm exterior hairline crack and an interior 3mm crack (see images). One can has discolouration/staining to the exterior and interior (see images). One can has a tiny flea bite to the rim (see images).Of the two bread plates the one which is marked in puce has a lot of worn/rubbed gilding. Both ring out nicely.Sugar bowl is in good condition, with only slight gilt rubbing.The fish tail stand has worn & rubbed gilding, but otherwise in sound order.

Lot 649

An early 19th century Pinxton porcelain circular cabinet plate, finely enamelled in colours with a vase of flowers to centre within gilded floral rim. 22 cm diameter (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The plate is in structurally good condition. We can see no evidence of any chips. There are no repairs and no restoration. There are no hairline cracks. The gilding is a little rubbed in places and there are some losses to the paintwork on the centre panel particularly top centre and bottom centre. The underside of the plate has numerous old labels and is a little dirty. There are nibbles to the glaze around the foot rim.
