A 1920s-30s Davey's Ltd Display Equipment Specialists Parker (?) pen cabinet, the mahogany body with angled panel of glass and locked lockable door to read with slots to hold 24 pens, the base of the front reading in a worn gilt transfer 'The Pen that loves its work!', 50.5cm wide, 16cm deep, 18.8cm high.Condition: Intact and study, but worn, scratched and scuffed and with a couple of light losses to extremities such as edges. The transfer wording is worn as photographed, the back dropdown door is locked with no key. The top surface has signs of a missing upright panel, probably bearing the name of the pen brand. A mid-late 1940s Parker 51 'India Black' Vacumatic fountain pen, with long plastic plunger, and cap stamped 'STERLING SILVER' with fine lines and 'Blue Diamond' Arrow clip, purporting to have been owned and used by Lord Mountbatten of Burma (1900-79), glued onto a backboard and mounted with a photograph of Mountbatten dressed in naval uniform using a similar or the same pen, and Mountbatten's signature in blue ink on paper, framed and glazed, case 34cm high, 24.5cm wide.Condition: Frame, photograph, mount and glass all in excellent condition. The pen cap is tarnished, scratched and slightly dented. Pen barrel is bulging and slight cracked where the Vacumatic movement is screwed into it.
