It is common for these to be replaced.The hood door has a cracked glass panel, the clock has some patches to the veneers.The trunk door does not have a key.The clock does not have either weights or a pendulum.In short this clock would need some work to make good but it looks as if most of the horological work has been done, but sadly it will require a pendulum and weights.

ATTRIBUTED TO THE WORKSHOP OF DESIDERIO DA FIRENZE (active 1532-1545) AN ITALIAN BRONZE FIGURE OF A FAUN circa 1530-1550, probably Padua, figured in stride holding a cornucopia in both hands, with fur covered legs and cloven feet, on a triangular base with a frieze decorated with floral motifs, on grotesque mask feet, 18cm highNote: Desiderio de Firenze (active 1532-1545) was a close associate to Andrea Riccio (1470-1532), a widely respected Paduan master of the small bronze. His name and aspects of his style indicate Tuscan origins. In 1532 and 1533 he was employed by the city of Padua for the creation of a bronze Voting Urn, which is now held in the Museo Civico in Padua. He was also commissioned, with another Paduan sculptor Tiziano Minio, to cast and model a bronze font cover for the Baptistry of San Marco in Venice.

A Chinese bronze vase – of early Ming dynasty form, probably first half 20th century, mid to dark brown patination, of flattened baluster form with twin dragon mask loop handles and bands of diaper decoration to the neck and foot, 27.7cm high.* Dent to rim and several small dents to the body. Old soldered repair to both joints of one handle and the body - there is some later grey glue to one side of the lower repair where the solder has flaked away. A few casting flaws to the edges of the rim and base. No other faults.
