The lamp was part of an eccentric interior scheme by McGrath, commissioned around 1932 by the then owner of Villa Finella, Mansfield D Forbes.A couple of dents to the cover, some loss of copper finish and further pitting, blacking with overpainting, one securing rod missing from cover, general scuffs and wear commensurate with age.  From a property clearance and thus no known provenance.

With lead and stained glass bell shaped shade (with multicoloured geomatrical pattern), topped with a wooden conic finial and with a copper rim at the base.
