Late Period, Ca. 600 BC. A cast leaded-bronze figure of Anubis in a classic striding pose atop an integral rectangular plinth. Anubis presents with arms draped to his hips, wearing a shendyt (kilt), with a bare chest beneath his prominent canine physiognomy. A pair of perky ears protruding from atop the wig, and the wig lappets drape down to his chest and frame the long muzzle. On the frontal part, there are traces of gilt. Ca. 8th - 7th century BC. An ivory plaque, likely Phoenician craftsmanship, carved in openwork, depicting a Levantine tribute bearer. The face framed by a short beard, is well-defined with large eyes and sligthly aquline nose. The hair is long, and the figure wears a short kilt. On his shoulder, he carried a small monkey whose hind legs are still visible. Reviewed by Simone Musso, consultant curator for Egyptian antiquities at the Stibbert Museum, Florence, Italy, member of the Nuri Archaeological Expedition. Middle Kingdom, circa 1900-1750 B.C. Rectangular panel from a false door stela carved in sunk relief with raised vertical borders framing a scene with a male figure wearing a knee-length kilt, collar and short wig, seated on a stool with lion-claw feet, holding a bolt of cloth in his left hand; before him, a pedestal table with splayed feet, the top laden with vertical loaves; traces of pigment to the collar, kilt and table; rear face dressed but plain. In the Middle Kingdom, the false door design was combined with other elements or represented by a raised border and cornice above on rectangular stelae.

HIGHLANDER (1986) - Clan McLeod Kilt - Clan Macleod kilt from Russell Mulcahy's fantasy film Highlander.Members of Clan MacLeod wore blue tartan kilts and shawls as a marker of their allegiance. Included in this lot are two kilts and one shawl, all in blue tartan. One of the kilts is double-layered, one only single layered. A label in the single-layered kilt reads "3261 Highlander".
