MARADONA DIEGO & PLATINI MICHEL: Diego Armando Maradona (1960-2020) Argentine football player, captain of the Argentinean FIFA World Cup winning team of 1986, & Michel Platini (1955- ) French football player. Three times winner of the Ballon d´Or 1984-85-86, and President of the UEFA 2007-2015. An excellent multiple signed colour 6 x 8.5 photograh by Maradona and Platini, the image showing both of them wearing their football clubs stripes in half length poses, at the conclusion of the very important match Juventus vs Naples, Turin, Olympic stadium, 9th November 1986. Individually signed by Maradona and Platini in bold black inks, Maradona adding his name beneath `Diego´, and his nusual stripe number `(10)´. The autographs were obtained by a former sports journalist. EXPart of the Naples football legend was written on the 9th of November 1986 in the grounds of their great rivals Juventus of Turin. Between 1981 and 1986, Juventus had won the Scudetto four times. After eight matches of the scudetto season, both teams were unbeaten and the meeting between them therefore seemed like a turning point not to be missed. After only five minutes in the second half, a very young Michael Laudrup scored. Platini's Juve thought they had done the hardest part. But twenty minutes from the end of the match, it was the equalizer, and the beginning of the Naples avalanche: two minutes later, a superb volley, followed a few minutes later by a nice curling shot. Apotheosis. Naples had not won in Turin for twenty-nine years. This success was a turning point and a few months later, Napoli won the first Scudetto in its history, finishing three points ahead of Juventus.
