Coronation 1911, Metropolitan Police (2) (P.S., J. Monteigh.; P.C., R. Williams.); together with Special Constabulary Long Service Medal, E.II.R., 2nd issue (Lachlan J. Livingston) last in named card box of issue, with photographic image of recipient and his wife meeting the then Prince of Wales, now King Charles III, generally good very fine (3) £50-£70 --- John Monteith was born in Kirkconnel, Scotland in June 1877. His father was a Coal Miner, and aged 13 he followed his father into employment at Barrbank Pit. Monteith moved to Glasgow before applying to join the Metropolitan Police in 1898. He served with ‘S’ (Hampstead) Division, prior to be transferred to the 3rd (Devonport Dockyard) Division at Plymouth. Monteith returned to ‘S’ Division in 1901 (entitled to Coronation 1902 Medal), and subsequently advanced to Sergeant serving with ‘Y’ (Highgate) Division. An article from the Hendon and Finchley Times, 29 September 1905, records Monteith as being ‘severely assaulted in Crickelewood Lane on August 21st’ carrying out his duty. Monteith advanced to Station Sergeant at ‘K’ (Bow) Division in November 1914, and five years later was promoted to Inspector and transferred to ‘G’ (King’s Cross) Division. He retired in February 1925. In later life he resided in Ilford, and died in December 1949. Richard Williams was born in Cheriton Bishop, Devon. He served with ‘L’ Division, Metropolitan Police from August 1902, and resigned ‘medically unfit’, 30 September 1911. Lachlan John Livingston was born Govan, Glasgow in April 1911. He was the son of a Church of Scotland Missionary, and was employed as a Geography Teacher - with his wife being a Languages Teacher. Livingston resided at 1 Bourtree Avenue, Kirkcudbright, and died in January 1996. All sold with respective memory sticks of research.

Each is 8x10" and is signed to border by the photographer Virginia Turbett.Virginia Turbett’s first photo assignment was in June 1977 photographing the Sex Pistols recording the Pretty Vacant Video. She spent the next ten years photographing for Sounds, Smash Hits, The Face, New Sounds New Styles, Flexipop and Record Mirror : the music, the fans and fashion of the punk, heavy metal, mod, new romantic, reggae, 2-tone and electro pop scenes. Her work took her all over the world photographing features on hundreds of bands and solo artists including The Clash, Blondie, Iggy Pop, Prince, The Jam, U2, Andy Warhol, Frank Zappa, Nick Cave, Depeche Mode, Madness, David Bowie and Duran Duran.Virginia’s music, youth culture and social history photographs have been used to illustrate many thousands of magazines, books and are frequently used in documentaries and films. Virginia has not made a hand made, darkroom, print since 1995. All prints made since then are digitally scanned at 3200 dpi from the original negative and printed on Canon Paper with Canon inks except for prints over A3+ size which are printed using silver gelatin process by Harman Lab.

(sic) Head and shoulders in a feigned oval Each inscribed in ink to upper stretcher verso, oil on canvas, 34cm by 29cm, 35cm by 29.5cm and 35cm by 29.5cm respectively (3)Redbridge Museum, Ilford hold what would seem to be versions of "Susannah Littleton" & "Anne Littleton", with provenance of Rodbaston Hall, Staffordshire and ancestor of Clement Mansfield Ingleby (1823-1886), who lived at Valentine Mansion, Ilford. For further information see ArtUK website. The top corner of the frame is broken and the canvas is loose in the frame. Lined. Two keys missing but fair tension. Old dirt and debris trapped behind bottom stretcher. Paper visible at edges. Finescale brittle age craquelure and impact cracks throughout, most noticably in the blue draper and stretcher bars. Not noticably raised and all appear stable. Some abrasion in passages, such as to the yellow drapery, blue drapery, the side of the cheek. Remnants of an ochre overpaint bottom centre. Minor touches of overpaint to the face. Possibly further old overpaint in the background obscured by degraded old varnish.Minor losses and rubbing at the edges, and larger patches of rubbing to the varnish bottom right and bottom left corners. Scattered minor losses, and several horizontal dents/retouched losses (see images). Old ingrained dirt and remnants of an older degraded varnish in darker areas. A fairly matt upper varnish, light splashes and surface accretions inplaces.

Von 1995 bis 2004 ist er Leiter der Anwendungstechnik bei ILFORD Deutschland. Schneege ist 1996 Gründungsmitglied der Fotografeninitiative "Gruppe V" und in den folgenden Jahren Mitveranstalter eines Fotofestivals. Im Jahr 2000 wird er in die Deutsche Gesellschaft für Photographie berufen. Seit 2005 leitet er die Werkstatt für Fotografie an der Hochschule für Künste in Bremen //Zum Künstler Wolfgang Moersch: Seine Ausbildung als Fotograf erfolgte bei Helmut Stahl/Köln, danach studierte er Photographie an der ehemaligen Werkkunst-Schule Köln. Nach vier Jahren als Werksfotograf bei Klöckner-Humboldt-Deutz engagierte ihn die Werbeagentur Manstein. Seit 1992 ist er als freiberuflicher Photodesigner in Hürth bei Köln im Bereich Vintage-Print tätig.
