Two Bretby onion shaped vases, a pair of Ditmar floral decorated vases, a Holmegaard green glass bowl, a pair of Arnhem Pottery Lindus pattern aesthetic style vases, a Bretby bronzed glazed miniature teapot, heart shaped stem vase, art glass triangular vase, an Ashstead Pottery character jug depicting Douglas McGarel Hogg inscribed to base "Of a first edition strictly limited to 500 jugs bearing the signature of the Right Hon Sir Douglas McGarel Hogg KCMP and the artist, this is No. 169 Percy Metcalfe", two hedgehog equipment carding brushes etc and a Rudie Delanghe raku ware fruit bowl of tapered trumpet form, 30.5 cm diameter CONDITION REPORTS Three Bretby pieces and raku bowl only: Two Bretby vases both have damage to the rims and crazing through out. The Brerby tea pot / jug has a crack running from the rim down. The raku bowl has two large chips to the rim - one under neither the other on the top and sounds dull to tap. Collection of Holmegaard glass comprising a large green vase with pulled rim, signed to the base, 43cm high approx overall, Christer Holmgren (b.1933) for Holmegaard, sapphire blue glass vase, signed and numbered 17795 to the base, 16cm high, a Per Lütken (1916-1998) minuet vase, numbered 15732, signed to the base and with original label, 11cm high, a Rondo series vase, signed to the base and with original label, 11cm high, Michael Bang green glass flower vase, signed to the base, 11cm high approx overall and two other vases (7) All with surface dust and dirt, in need of a very light clean. All with scratches and wear, most notably to the underside/bases as expected. The 17795 vase with some scratches to the sides.

Per Lütken (Danish 1916-1998) for Holmegaard Three Vases Comprising a large tapered "Smoke" vase and two "May Green" vases, the taller circular and the smaller oval, all signed PL Holmegaard and variously numbered. The tallest 23cm high The William "Bill" Davies Collection of Scandinavian Glass. Bill Davies led a very successful career as an architect, primarily working in his native Wales, with his most celebrated project being the Plas Menai complex situated on the Menai Strait which serves as the National Watersports Centre for Wales and has been awarded Grade II and II* status - it was described as 'arguably the most admired and influential building completed in Wales in the last quarter of the twentieth century’ by Professor Richard Weston*. Bill was also commissioned for architectural work by Cardiff University and indeed served as a Lecturer in Design at the institution, playing a major part in developing the course into one of the highest rated in the United Kingdom.His major inspirations were the celebrated American architect Frank Lloyd Wright and the leading Finnish designer Alvar Aalto: from this stemmed Bill's enthusiasm for all aspects of mid-century design with the glass of Scandinavia becoming his particular passion, or rather, obsession.
