FOR A FEW DOLLARS MOREItalian 4-Fogli (54" x 77"); Style B, Country-of-OriginFine+ on Linen PEA, 1965The Style B oversized Italian poster is a rare find, showcasing the power of minimalistic yet impactful imagery. Dominating the left side is the iconic "Man with No Name," nonchalantly standing with his handgun. The only true splash of color on the poster is the stark white stucco wall to his left, marred by a vivid streak of blood - a silent witness to the bullet's path through an unseen adversary just moments prior. The poster has been professionally restored. It was originally printed in two sections and had a tear from the left edge that extended through Eastwood's hat brim. There was also some minor wear from folding and touch-up on the creases. Additionally, there was a tear in the lower right section that extended into the background near Eastwood's feet. The borders had some chipping, which has been fixed with airbrushing. Now, the poster looks great and is in very good condition. The second film in Sergio Leone's "Dollars Trilogy" reunited the Italian director with rising star Clint Eastwood. This time, Eastwood played a bounty hunter who competes with a highly skilled rival, played by Lee Van Cleef, to hunt down a vicious bank robber named "El Indio", portrayed by Gian Maria Volonte. This lot will be auctioned on Thursday, September 12th. The auction will begin at 9:30am PST and lots are sold sequentially via live auctioneer; tune in to the live streaming broadcast on auction day to follow the pace. The term "1911" is commonly associated with the M1911 pistol, a semi-automatic handgun that has played a significant role in firearms history. The M1911 is a single-action, magazine-fed pistol that was designed by John Browning and became the standard-issue sidearm for the United States military from 1911 until 1985. Here are key features and details about the M1911:1. **Design and Origin**: The M1911 was designed by John Browning and was adopted by the U.S. military in—you guessed it—1911. It replaced the previous standard-issue sidearm, the M1892 revolver.2. **Caliber**: The M1911 is chambered for the .45 ACP (Automatic Colt Pistol) cartridge. The .45 ACP is known for its stopping power.3. **Single-Action Operation**: The M1911 operates in single-action mode, meaning the trigger performs only one function: releasing the hammer to strike the firing pin. The hammer must be manually cocked for the first shot, after which the semi-automatic action cycles.4. **7+1 Round Capacity**: The standard M1911 magazine typically holds seven rounds in the magazine and one in the chamber, resulting in an 8-round total capacity.5. **Grip Safety**: One distinctive feature of the M1911 is the grip safety, a lever on the back of the grip that must be depressed for the firearm to discharge.6. **Thumb Safety**: The M1911 also features a manual thumb safety on the left side of the frame. This safety can be engaged to prevent the trigger from being pulled.7. **Steel Frame and Slide**: Early models of the M1911 were predominantly made of steel, contributing to the gun's weight and durability. Modern versions may use different materials, including aluminum frames for reduced weight.8. **Military Service**: The M1911 served as the standard-issue sidearm for the U.S. military through World War I, World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. It was eventually replaced by the Beretta M9 in 1985, but the M1911 remains in use by some military and law enforcement units.9. **Civilian Use**: The M1911 gained popularity in civilian circles and among gun enthusiasts. Many firearm manufacturers produce civilian versions of the M1911, and it is widely used in competitive shooting sports.10. **Cultural Impact**: The M1911 has become an iconic firearm and has appeared in numerous movies, TV shows, and video games. Its design has influenced other handguns, and it continues to be a popular choice among gun owners. The M1911's longevity, reputation for reliability, and its role in military history have contributed to its status as one of the most iconic and recognizable handguns in the world.Measures 9 x 6 x 3.Wood.
The .357 Magnum is a powerful and versatile revolver cartridge developed in the early 1930s by firearms designer Elmer Keith and Smith & Wesson. Here are some key features and highlights of the .357 Magnum cartridge:1. **Origin**: The .357 Magnum was developed as an improvement over the .38 Special cartridge, which was widely used by law enforcement agencies and civilians at the time. Elmer Keith and Smith & Wesson sought to create a more powerful cartridge suitable for law enforcement and self-defense purposes.2. **Ballistics**: The .357 Magnum cartridge features a rimmed, straight-walled case with a bullet diameter of .357 inches (hence the name). It typically fires a bullet weighing between 125 and 180 grains at velocities ranging from approximately 1,200 to 1,500 feet per second, depending on the specific load and barrel length.3. **Stopping Power**: The .357 Magnum cartridge is known for its excellent stopping power and terminal ballistics, making it effective for self-defense, law enforcement, and hunting small to medium-sized game. The combination of high velocity and bullet weight results in significant energy transfer and tissue damage upon impact.4. **Versatility**: One of the key advantages of the .357 Magnum cartridge is its versatility. It can be fired from revolvers chambered for .357 Magnum as well as from revolvers chambered for .38 Special, albeit with reduced performance. Additionally, many firearms manufacturers offer lever-action rifles and semi-automatic pistols chambered for .357 Magnum, further expanding its versatility.5. **Recoil**: The .357 Magnum cartridge generates significant recoil due to its high velocity and energy levels, particularly when fired from lightweight revolvers. However, this recoil can be manageable with proper technique and training, and many shooters appreciate the powerful performance of the cartridge.6. **Popularity**: The .357 Magnum remains a popular cartridge for a variety of applications, including self-defense, target shooting, hunting, and competitive shooting sports such as IDPA (International Defensive Pistol Association) and USPSA (United States Practical Shooting Association) competitions. Its effectiveness, versatility, and historical significance have ensured its enduring popularity among firearms enthusiasts.Overall, the .357 Magnum cartridge continues to be valued for its impressive performance, versatility, and reliability, making it a favored choice for shooters seeking a powerful and effective handgun cartridge.Replica.11 inches length.2.3 lbs.Non-firing.

An original production-used stunt "LAPD 2049" blaster prop as seen used by Ryan Gosling in the role of "K" in Denis Villeneuve's sequel film, Blade Runner 2049 (Warner Bros., 2017). The stunt blaster is made of lightweight rubber and painted to give it the appearance of a well-worn black metal gun.According to the film's prop master, Doug Harlocker, he and his team felt it was a "big responsibility going from an iconic handgun to the next generation of that, so we took our time and we wanted to make it as interesting as possible... We went through lots of design changes until we got it." While the original "PK-D" blaster used by Deckard in both Ridley Scott's original 1982 film and Villeneuve's Blade Runner 2049 were constructed with functional gun components, the "LAPD 2049" blaster used by K was not, as this would have required the weapon to have a bulkier profile than desired: "In the end we decided—form over function—that we would prefer to keep it as a perfect design and not have to worry about making it all, you know, misshaped by putting a real gun in it.”K can be seen using the gun early on in the film, when he tracks down and "retires" the military replicant "Sapper" (Dave Bautista) at his protein farm. Includes a DVD of the film.Approx. 6 x 8.25 x 1.5 inches
An original deactivated Walther P99 pistol prop used by Pierce Brosnan as "James Bond" in the James Bond film Tomorrow Never Dies (Eon Productions, 1997). This Walther P99 P.A.K. blank firing pistol features the serial number “B8041852” and is 9mm with a 3 – 7/8” barrel. This pistol features a blue finish with factory molded grips. Condition is considered to be “very good” with wear to the high points of the slide, as well as the slide release showing loss of finish and minor scratching. The action of the pistol cycles smoothly and the firing pin has been removed. The magazine has been plugged with a steel rod which has been modified to accept only one round at a time. This iconic pistol had been rented by Eon Productions during the production of the film from Bapty & Co., a supplier of weapons and props. This is one of only eleven PAK pistols that were rented for the film. According to 007 The Armoury, "the only modification was to blank out the white factory engravings to better match the all-black appearance of the two 'hero' firearms." James Bond uses this type of firearm throughout the film, replacing the iconic PPK, PP, and P5's that had been used in previous James Bond films. This more contemporary sidearm would first appear in the film when Bond chooses it from Wai Lin's (Michelle Yeoh) armory in Saigon. Bond mentions, "Ah the new Walther, I asked Q to get me one of these." While aboard the Stealth Ship, an undetectable catamaran-style vessel, Bond can be seen using this type of pistol. Tomorrow Never Dies is the second installment of the James Bond film series to feature Pierce Brosnan is the iconic role. When the film was released, it was surpassed only by the release of Titanic (Paramount Pictures, 1997) in the United States and Canada, grossing $333 million worldwide. Accompanied by a copy of 007 The Armoury, a book listing this pistol's serial number as one of the exact firearms issued to the production company during filming. Includes a DVD of the film. The 1911 pistol, also known as the Colt Government or simply the 1911, is a semi-automatic handgun that was designed by John Browning and initially produced by Colt's Manufacturing Company. It has a rich history and remains a popular choice among firearm enthusiasts, law enforcement agencies, and military organizations around the world. The 1911 pistol was first adopted by the United States Army in, as the name suggests, 1911. It served as the standard-issue sidearm for the U.S. military for many years, including during both World Wars. The pistol's design was highly regarded for its reliability, accuracy, and stopping power. The 1911 pistol is chambered for the .45 ACP (Automatic Colt Pistol) cartridge, which is known for its larger bullet diameter and stopping power. It features a single-stack magazine with a capacity of typically 7 or 8 rounds, though extended magazines with higher capacities are available. The pistol operates using a short recoil system, in which the slide and barrel recoil together for a short distance before separating. This design helps to mitigate recoil and allows for more accurate follow-up shots. The slide also locks back after the last round is fired, indicating that the magazine is empty. The 1911 pistol has a single-action trigger, meaning that the trigger performs only one function: releasing the hammer to fire the weapon. The trigger pull is typically crisp and light, contributing to its reputation for accuracy.Over the years, the 1911 design has been produced by various manufacturers and has undergone some modifications and improvements. These include changes in grip materials, sights, finishes, and the addition of accessory rails for attachments like lights or lasers. However, the basic design principles and overall look of the 1911 have remained relatively consistent. The popularity of the 1911 extends beyond military and law enforcement use. Many civilian shooters appreciate its ergonomics, trigger characteristics, and classic design. It has also become a popular platform for customization and aftermarket modifications, allowing individuals to tailor the pistol to their preferences. In summary, the 1911 pistol is a classic and iconic firearm that has stood the test of time. Its design, reliability, and stopping power have made it a favorite among professionals and enthusiasts alike.Measures 9 (width) x 6 (height) x 3 (depth).

London Gazette 10 August 1989: Gerald Joseph Toal, Assistant Manager, H. Samuels, Jewellers, Glasgow. ‘On 3rd August 1987 at approximately 1.15 p.m. a man entered a jeweller’s shop and asked the Assistant Manager, Mr. Toal, to show him a tray of diamond rings that were on display in the window. Mr. Toal returned to the counter with the rings to find the man pointing a handgun at him. The man grabbed the tray of rings and ran out of the shop and into the street, pursued by Mr. Toal. During the chase the gunman stopped twice, turned round and aimed the gun threateningly at Mr. Toal before running into a department store. Mr. Toal continued the chase catching up with the robber within the store. Mr. Toal tackled the gunman and a violent struggle followed, during which the gun was discharged three times, without injury. Meanwhile Mr. Toal's colleague, who had also given chase, arrived and assisted Mr. Toal to overpower, disarm and detain the robber until the arrival of the store security officer and the police. Mr. Toal displayed devotion to duty and bravery of a high order, when, following a hold-up, and without regard for his own safety, he tackled an armed gunman, who during the struggle discharged his weapon three times before he was overpowered, disarmed and detained.’ Gerald Joseph Toal was employed as the Assistant Manager at the H. Samuels store on Argyle Street, Glasgow. He was assisted in the above incident by his colleague, Mr. Paul Douglas, who received a Queen’s Commendation for Brave Conduct.
