GHOSTBUSTERS II (1989) - Animatronic Theatre Ghost Puppet - An animatronic theatre ghost puppet from Ivan Reitman's Ghostbusters II. Crowds fled from the movie theatre after an insectoid-like ghost appeared as the pink slime began to overflow in New York City on New Year's Eve.This animatronic puppet with mechanical and wired insides is covered with foam and latex draped in a black chiffon shroud. It features a rigid plastic skull, as well as reflective eyes and a desiccated muscle-like sculpture. Clear fishing line is attached to the upper back to allow the puppet to fly through the air when attached to a rig. Following production, this puppet underwent accurate, modern, and high-end restoration to return it to its original 1989 appearance. While it exhibits significant loss of its skin, the remainder has been sympathetically stabilised. The puppet also exhibits discolouration, as well as fragile and crumbling foam, and should be handled with care. Dimensions: 160 cm x 76.25 cm x 30.5 cm (63" x 30" x 12")Contains electronic and mechanical components; see notice in the Buyer's Guide.Special shipping required; see notice in the Buyer's Guide.Estimate: £3,000 - 6,000 US Bidding for this lot will end on Thursday, November 14th.
