(base of drawer may have been replaced).

Attributed to David Cox (British School, 1783 - 1859) - a mid nineteenth century oil on board depicting a dark interior scene with flagstone floor and exposed timber beams. On frame with label 'David Cox 1783 - 1859', marked to verso of board 'Sketch by David Cox R. V. S.' Presented in early 20th century giltwood frame. Measures 46cm x 35cm.
