A coramandel and brass inlaid games compendium by Asprey, circa 1900, inscribed 'The Royal Cabinet of Games', with a satinwood lined and fitted interior, the hinged lid containing a folding coromandel and ivory inlaid chess and backgammon board, the front opening to reveal a stained ivory Staunton style chess set (king is 7 cm high), with two central removable trays containing two ivory dice shakers, ivory chequers, a coramandel and ivory inlaid cribbage scorer, markers, dice, cards, whist, various turned chips and markers, satinwood chip trays and a lead horse racing game, 39 cm x 28 cm x 21 cm. Illustrated.

Slight lifting to cribbage on right hand flap. Restored.
