Ca. 800 - 700 BC.A fabulous cast-bronze horse presenting characteristically abstract geometric-era stylisation. The tubular animal widens slightly at the hips and tapers towards the chest, the body supported by four cylindrical legs, and a curved tail droops down the middle of the haunches. The proud head is raised in an attentive manner with a crested mane, a tapering ovoid snout with faint nostril slits, and a pair of perky ears, with textured patina in green and brown hues enveloping the equine figure. Third Intermediate Period, 21st Dynasty, Ca. 1075 - 945 BC. An amazing hand-built faience ushabti of Nesytanebetisheru, standing in a dignified pose, enrobed in layers of incredibly lustrous, brilliant blue glaze. The figure presents in characteristic ushabti fashion, standing in mummiform with fused legs and feet, crossing both arms atop the chest with a pair of black-painted picks in his hands, and with a seed bag draped from both shoulders down to the middle of his back. The protruding visage exhibits gently modelled features like almond-shaped eyes outlined heavily with black pigment, a flush nose, a slender mouth with indented corners, and tall ears, all framed within the striated lappets of his tripartite wig. Late Period, 26th Dynasty, Reign of Necho II, Ca. 610 - 595 BC. A greywacke statuette of a high official of the pharaoh Nacho II from the XXVI Dynasty, hand-carved from black basalt. The high official is represented with arms at the sides of the hips, marked facial features, and ears clearly shown on the sides, wearing a long wig. At the centre of the chest is the cartouche. Reviewed by Simone Musso, consultant curator for Egyptian antiquities at the Stibbert Museum, Florence, Italy, member of the Nuri Archaeological Expedition. Late Period, Ca. 600 BC. A cast leaded-bronze figure of Anubis in a classic striding pose atop an integral rectangular plinth. Anubis presents with arms draped to his hips, wearing a shendyt (kilt), with a bare chest beneath his prominent canine physiognomy. A pair of perky ears protruding from atop the wig, and the wig lappets drape down to his chest and frame the long muzzle. On the frontal part, there are traces of gilt. Ca. 100 BC - AD 250. A redware terracotta figurine depicting an ancient Mexican warrior. He has open almond-shaped eyes, tightly pursed lips, and a long and straight nose. Holding his short spear, he is in an awkwardly compromised position. He wears a high and pointed cap and a short chest/back protector that covers the neck.
