JAMES BOND: CASINO ROYALE (1967) - Sir James Bond's (David Niven) Jacket - Sir James Bond's (David Niven) jacket from John Huston, Kern Hughes, Robert Parrish, Joe McGrath and Val Guest's Casino Royale.Bond wore his jacket when he visited his daughter Mata Bond (Joanna Pettet) and convinced her to go to East Berlin on a mission for MI6.The single-breasted jacket was created by tailor Benson, Perry & Whitley. Made in a silk-like woven fabric with silk trim, the jacket features a breast pocket, two waist pockets and four buttons running down the front. Two internal pockets are present, one of which has a label attached. Originally white, the jacket is now yellow, having been dyed for use in subsequent productions. Starting in 1958, the Daily Express newspaper published daily serialised James Bond comic strips, starting with Casino Royale. These four strips are numbers 78 to 81 consecutively and feature hand-drawn artwork by McLusky, who is credited with changing Bond's appearance to be more rugged and masculine. The artwork is rendered mostly in black ink and there are also areas of corrective fluid, pencil marks, and sections adhered to the board from another page. The panels have some minor wear, including discolouration and staining.
