Fine quality large 19th century French ormolu clock garniture by Lerolle à Paris with Sèvres-style porcelain panels, the clock mounted with three classical female figures and cherub emblematic of spring and summer, the dial painted with cherubs and trophy of musical instruments and quiver of arrows, cylinder movement signed by maker and striking on bell (pendulum and key present), 64 cm wide and 47cm high, the pair of candlebra with putti supports and with painted cherubs and musical trophies 50cm high.An identical model, in cleaned condition, was sold at a Sotheby during the 'Freddy Mercury Auction', with a result of £17.780,00. https://www.sothebys.com/en/buy/auction/2023/freddie-mercury-a-world-of-his-own-at-home/a-louis-xvi-style-gilt-bronze-and-sevres-style Good original condition, the clock runs ( not tested for timekeeping), the case has some wear to the gilding and is generally dirty, the harvest figure is missing a scythe from her hand, the porcelain dial and panels are in good order. A PAIR OF FRENCH LOUIS XV STYLE ORMOLU CANDELABRA, 19TH CENTURY a pair of french ormolu and figural six-light candlelabra featuring two cherubs, each cherub holds a candlelabra sitting barefoot on a rock with clothed in a small piece of fabric with a grape vine wrapped around their heads, both faces cast downward. the gilt candlelabras spur from the cherubs hands as a floral vine that twists into the six arms with floral and foliate vines and scrolls, all on a curved foliate and floral gilt plinth; overall height: 57 cm (22 1/2 in.)CONDITION In very good condition, with no apparent signs of restoration or repairs. Minor dust, darkening and patina around the corners of the gilt base. Rubbing to gilt of some of the candelabra arms, otherwise no significant issues to report. N.B.
