Victorian Volunteer Rifle Officers Sword by Reeves, Birmingham, single fullered blade etched with Queen Victoria Crown over 'IIIrd Worcestershire Rifle Volunteers to one side, crown over bugle horn with '39' to the centre, makers details to ricasso, regulation hilt with crowned bugle horn containing the numeral '39', wire bound shagreen grip, bullion sword knot, scabbard absent, blade 84 cm.
32nd (Cornwall) Light Infantry glengarry badge c. 1874-81. Good scarce die-stamped brass crowned strung bugle; 32 between the strings. Brass loops North & South. VGC This is probably the actual piece photographed as No. 476 in "Head-dress Badges of the British Army". Provenance. Ex Hugh King Collection, Bosleys.

Fine gilt crowned Garter with black velvet lightly domed centre mounted with silver bugle strung from mural crown surmounted by JELLALABAD; Sphinx on EGYPT between the cords. Toned loops. Good die-stamped brass crowned curled bugle horn with attendant laurel spray; 106 to voided centre Across the base of the laurels a tri-part scroll, BOMBAY LIGHT INFANTRY Brass loops East & West. Old repair to reverse orb and sceptre In 1861 the 2nd Bombay Light Infantry Regiment was transferred to the British Establishment as the 106th Bombay Light Infantry, becoming the 2nd Bn, The Durham Light Infantry in 1881.
60th King's Royal Rifle Corps Victorian helmet plate badge c. 1878-81. Good scarce die-stamped blackened brass Maltese cross, lions between the arms, surmounted by a crown resting on a scroll inscribed PENINSULA. On the cross, a title circlet, to the voided centre a strung bugle with 60 between the cords. The arms of the cross bearing honours. Beneath the bottom arm, a scroll inscribed CELER ET AUDAX. Three loops. VGC
2nd VB Oxfordshire Light Infantry Victorian glengarry badge c. 1887-96. Good scarce die-stamped white metal crowned circlet inscribed OXFORDSHIRE 2ND VOLR. BATTN; strung bugle horn to voided centre. Three loops. Toned but VGC. 2nd Oxfordshire RVC became a VB of the Oxfordshire LI on Friday 1st July 1881; redesignated as 2nd VB in December 1887 with HQ at Oxford.

GC 2nd Oxfordshire RVC redesigned as 2nd VB in December 1887.
11th Perthshire Rifle Volunteer Corps Scottish forage cap badge c. 1860-68. A good rare die-stamped blackened brass crowned curled bugle, die-cast white metal 11 to centre. Toned loops. VGC Formed 26th May 1860 at Doune. Consolidated as E Company, 1st Perthshire RVC in 1880; redesignated 4th (Perthshire VB) Black Watch from December 1887.
King's Own Shropshire Light Infantry Victorian Office's tunic. A rare transitional 1880 pattern tunic worn by a Colonel of the Regiment. Scarlet melton cloth with dark blue facings to the collar and cuffs. The cuffs decorated with Field Officer's gold lace. The collar with one band of lace and a bullion cord loops, this mounted with bullion strung bugle device. Retaining one shoulder cord bearing bullion rank insignia and complete with Victorian gilt regimental buttons. The silk lining is now part shot.
* A Scottish Victorian officers basket hilt broadsword of the 72nd Highlanders (The Duke of Albany’s Own Highlanders) by Johnstone, Sackville St. London & Dawson St. Dublin, double edge claymore blade 82.5cms cut with a pair of fullers and etched with crowned VR cypher and crowned 72nd HIGHLANDERS with strung bugle, thistles and scrolling foliage, regulation iron basket hilt with scarlet cloth covered buckskin liner, fluted pommel and crimson silk fringe, in its steel dress scabbard with 2 hanging rings. * An 1827 pattern Rifle officers sword of Captain Maurice Bazely White, 1st Rifle Brigade, severely wounded at Vlakfontein, by HENRY WILKINSON PALL MALL LONDON No.36524 (=1899CE) with PATENT SOLID HILT blade 82.5cms etched and polished with crowned GVR cypher, Royal Arms, strung bugle and M. B. WHITE 1st. BATTn. RIFLE BRIGADE, together with scrolling foliage, regulation plated guard with regimental badge, wire bound 2 piece chequered composition grips and chequered grip strap, leather dress knot, in its plated scabbard. Plating worn. The sword of Capt. Maurice Bazely White 1st Rifle Brigade, Lieut. 1900, severely wounded at Vlakfontein. Re-offered due to non-paying bidder. * An Edward 7th 1845 pattern Gurkha Rifles Officers sword of Captain Nigel Gresley Reginald Woodyatt, King’s Own Gurkha Rifles (The Sirmoor Rifles), died 8th March 1916 on active service, blade 83cms by HENRY WILKINSON PALL MALL LONDON No.42715 (=1910CE) etched with crowned Royal Arms, EVIIR cypher, crowned strung bugle and owner’s crest all within scrolling foliage, regulation iron guard with badge, wire bound fish skin covered grip, in its steel dress scabbard. The guard has a small irregular shaped piece missing from the edge, possibly battle damage. The sword of Capt. Nigel Gresley Reginald Woodyatt, King’s Own Gurkha Rifles (The Sirmoor Rifles), died 8th March 1916 on active service (Mesopotamia). Re-offered due to non-paying bidder.
