A set of four Georgian Bristol blue glass carafes or decanters - early 19th century, onion shaped with ground pontils, 18.5cm high, with cork and white metal stoppers (two of crescent form, inscribed 'Gin' and 'Brandy'), each with a matching silver wine label, 'Gin', 'Rum', 'Brandy' and 'Whiskey', Ledsham, Vale & Wheeler, Birmingham 1829-30 (one suspension ring replaced).* In good condition overall. All have expected scratching around the base and a few small scratches to the belly. One has a burst air bubble to the flat top of the rim. No chips, cracks or other damage. The Gin stopper is missing the bottom 1cm of the cork and the metal domed mount. One silver wine label has a replaced suspension ring (appears to have been made from a ring of solder wire).
