dating: 18th/19th Century provenance: Arabia, Hemispherical iron skull (small missing part), surmounted by a faceted button on a base shaped as a truncated cone, in the middle of the skull is a ring dividing the helmet into two surfaces. The base surface, a part of the one above the ring and the top featuring remains of gilded decorations and cartouches. Reassembled nose piece. Mail neck-defense with missing parts and consisting of medium-sized rings with simple closure. height 16 cm.

Gilded metal hilt, quillon, langets and grip richly decorated with a sheet of metal, worked in filigree, with geometric and floral motifs; at the pommel and at the centre of the quillon two rosettes contain black gemstones. Scabbard with two lugs fully worked en suite with the grip. Kept in its presentation case completely lined with blue velvet. length 93 cm.
