A George V Silver Tankard, by Adie Brothers Ltd., Birmingham, 1927 in the George I style, tapering cylindrical and with reeded rims, the flat hinged cover with openwork scroll thumbpiece, with scroll handle, engraved with the coat-of-arms of Kingston upon Hull above an inscription14.5cm high, 18oz 16dwt, 585grThe inscription reads 'From Major P. Robson Sheriff 1926/7 to W. Walker'.Fully marked near rim and further part marked inside cover. The marks are generally clear. There are some minor surface scratches and wear, consistent with age and use. The lower handle junction is pushed slightly into the body.
