Ushak suits you

Ushak carpet – estimate £1000-1500 at Chiswick Auctions on February 9.

Described as a “beautifully designed carpet with very good colours”, featuring “full pile of soft and lustrous wool”, this Ushak carpet measures about 3.47m x 2.32m. It is catalogued as being “in very good condition throughout. A very attractive and great furnishing piece.”

Chinese make

Chinese carpet – estimate £700-1000 at Chiswick Auctions on February 9.

This Chinese carpet has a “very good colour combination and well-drawn design” and “apart from very light wear to the top pile in few small places, barely visible, this carpet has good pile and in general is in very good usable condition”.
