Offered at Mellors & Kirk’s two day auction of a private collection on September 13 and 14. The side table featured carved pierced apron on octagonal columnar legs and moulded feet. Estimated at £150-200, it was knocked down for £5500.

Fonsie Mealy Auctioneers of Castlecomer, Co, offers this pair of Gothic revival mahogany peat buckets in its Chatsworth Autumn Fine Art Sale of September 27 and 28. Moulded with Gothic tracery and each with a brass swing handle and liner, the buckets have an estimate of €700-1100.
