Arne Jacobsen
When you think ‘Scandinavian’ you might automatically think of muted colours, such as brown and beige. Not so with this ‘pre-pop’ dining set (pictured above) by Functionalist Danish designer Arne Jacobsen (1902-71). Made by Asko c.1969 it is a late work by the designer and an amusing example of design for the ‘Swinging Sixties’. It is made with birch and painted plywood and comprises a table and four chairs offered together with an estimate of £800-1200.

Hans Olsen
This settee by Hans Olsen for Jørgen Jørgensen has an estimate of £1500-2500 at Lyon & Turnbull’s Modern Made sale on October 23.

Hans Wegner
