Heavy metal: Items from animator’s collection offered in timed online auction

Working on the film ‘Who Framed Roger Rabbit’ in his early days, he later became a lead animator and sequence director on the Warner Bros film The Iron Giant and has also created CG animation for Harry Potter - The Prisoner of Azkaban and The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.
The first part of his collection was sold at East Bristol Auctions in January and now a second tranche will appear at a timed online sale with lots closing from June 28. This form of auction allows you to bid on lots right now and enter a maximum bid.

1. Futurama poster
A poster for the American cartoon series Futurama which is signed by the main animators and crew for the 1999 series appears in the Richard Bazley sale. It is estimated at £150-250. 2. Peter Pan sketches
A group of over 50 sheets featuring Richard Bazley’s copies of animated scenes from the Disney classic movie Peter Pan are offered with a £50-80 estimate. They were copied from the Disney Animation Research Library during his time working for the studio, and used by him for various reference work on his own projects, including Pocahontas, Tarzan and Hercules. 3. Bazley watercolour
A watercolour by Richard Bazley himself is included in the upcoming sale of part of his collection.
