From historical to modern art: Five pictures on offer at upcoming auction

An upcoming sale at Chorley's offers a range of pictures across different eras, subjects and styles.

Here we pick out five lots that caught our eye to give you a flavour of what’s on offer.
1. Italianate landscape
Frederick Henry Henshaw (1807-1891) was an artist from Harborne who was a member of the 'Birmingham School'. An admirer of John Constable, his works predominately comprise views of the English landscape and he was a regular exhibitor at the Royal Academy. 2. View of Tintern Abbey
This view of livestock grazing in a meadow with Tintern Abbey visible in the background is by Donald Henry Floyd (1892-1965). The Plymouth-born artist often features Welsh subjects in his work and this picture of the Monmouthshire landscape is fairly typical. It is estimated at £300-500 at Chorley’s.
