22 June 2021 These classic vehicles have a striking colour and their great designs are sure to get you noticed.Classic Car Auctions is holding a special sale on Saturday June 26 at the London Classic Car Show.
The event is Covid-compliant but if you are not going in person you can browse and bid online. Here is a selection from the 110 vehicles on offer. We've chosen some stunners that all sport a bright red paint job.
Plenty of grunt
With 55,000 miles on the clock, this 1967 Ford Mustang GT500 Replica has been recently fitted with a range of features to keep it looking and running great.
According to the vendor who has consigned it to auction: "It runs and drives terrifically, sounds fantastic, and has plenty of grunt. The body is solid with no welding whatsoever, great paint, trim, chrome, stripes, and glass."
Fire up the Quattro!
This pre-production Audi Quattro prototype from 1982 was substantially restored a few years ago. It is estimated at £25,000 to £30,000.
Red-dy to go
This 1968 Ford Mustang Fastback GT has 72,500 miles on the clock and just looks spectacular.
Out of this world
The Jowett Jupiter MK1 is from the 1950s. The firm's flagship sports car was hand-built in Bradford and this one has a fresh MOT until May 2022.
Take over the Galaxie
You'll turn plenty of heads driving down your street in this 1966 Ford Galaxie convertible with its red bonnet, boot and interior and black sides.
Go on a Mini adventure
The point of a Mini was that it was small. And yet here is a Mini Clubman Estate which makes it a large, small car – quirkiness at its best.
Bonus section
And here are two very quirky cars coming up at auction on our sister site BidSpotter.co.uk.
What should you do with a 1978 Lambretta Willam Forgonnette? Make it look like a postman's van, of course. Auctioneer Paul Cooper from Eddisons is shown here enjoying the vehicle.
The fake black and white cat in the back pays suitable homage to a well-known TV animation series. You've probably now got the theme tune in your head (we certainly have. A single of it, sung by Ken Barrie, was released in 1982 and reached number 44 in the UK Charts).
This 1960 Isetta 300 Bubble Car has a BMW 300CC engine and has attracted dozens of bids already. It is also in the Eddisons timed auction that ends on June 29.
