1. Steiff Christmas tree ornaments

These two Steiff Christmas tree ornaments, above, were part of two limited US editions from 1996 and 2000 respectively. Steiff is one of the world’s most famous and historic teddy bear makers and these two models, titled Teddy Bear Percussion and Sleep Keep are very much in keeping with its traditions.

Offered together as a single lot and coming in their original boxes, they are estimated at £70-100 at Special Auction Services on November 22-24.

Two Bells Old Scotch Whisky decanters are offered at Bishop & Miller on December 3. One is a Christmas bell decanter from 1990 (75cl) and the other a commemorative bell decanter from 1995 (70cl).

4. A Christmas Carol sketch

A scene from ‘A Christmas Carol’ by Paul Birkbeck – estimated at £120-180 at Ewbank’s.

This picture of a scene from Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol was made by Paul Birkbeck, an illustrator whose sketches appeared in the BBC’s Jackanory series.

This one depicts the Cratchits family starting Christmas dinner with the goose given to them by Ebenezer Scrooge. It featured in the BBC Jackanory reading from Christmas 1984 of Dickens’ classic novel.

It is part of a collection of Birkbeck’s illustrations offered at Ewbank’s on December 14. The estimate is £120-180.

5. Frank Sinatra records

A group of Frank Sinatra LPs – estimated at £60-80 at Omega.

One of the all-time greats when it comes to festive songs is Frank Sinatra’s Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas.

A collection of around 250 Frank Sinatra LPs is offered at Omega on November 23-24 which includes a record of ‘Frank and his friend’s’ Christmas favourites. The 7in records are offered as a single lot, estimated at £60-80.
