Bring the garden inside with these four modern and contemporary pictures at Halls

Here is a selection of garden related artworks.
1. Chiswick back garden
This oil on board of a Chiswick back garden (above) is by Alfred Heyworth (1926-76), and was purchased from his studio in Chiswick in the late 1970s. It was subsequently sold at Halls in 2005 and was in the collection of the Shrewsbury School. This time it is estimated at £1800-2500 at auction.

2. Gardening picture
This brightly coloured oil on canvas is by Contemporary Hungarian artist Bori Fülöp (b.1999). It is titled Gardening and is estimated at £600-700.

3. Roses and Lilac Still Life
If the roses and lilac are over for the year in your garden why not bid for this still life? It is by artist Richard Bawden (b.1936), son of the artist Edward Bawden (1903–89). The lithograph, signed bottom right and numbered 19/40, is estimated at £150-200.

4. Bread and fishes
This oil on board, featuring a fish pond, is titled Bread and Fishes. By Welsh artist Paul Martinez-Frias (b.1929), it is signed and dated 96. Frias is still a resident artist at the Spectrum Gallery in Machynlleth. It has an estimate of £180-250.
