SHIPPING
We can assist with shipping your item(s) won at auction to your chosen destination at an additional cost. We will ship your item(s) using the fastest, safest and most reliable delivery method possible. We will select the appropriate delivery method and carrier depending on the size, fragility and destination of your item(s)
Small items Shipping
Small items are packed in house by a trusted member of our team. Once an item is packed, weighed and measured a packing and shipping cost is calculated. We search for the best carrier quotes to choose the most cost-effective method for shipping. Small items can be shipped WORLD WIDE
Large items Shipping
We have recommended Couriers that we consistently use for large items being delivered in Ireland and Europe.
Larger items shipped beyond Europe will take additional time to receive a quote as we will have to cost with freight shippers. Pre-auction shipping requests – If you wish to receive an estimated cost for shipping any item that you are interested in any of our upcoming auction please do get in touch; email info@victormeeauctions.ie or call the office on 00353 (0) 4755076
Post auction shipping request - We would kindly ask for items to be paid for first, as is our house policy. Once paid for we can then process the item for shipping, once packed an invoice for postage and packing costs would be sent out.
Alternatively, if we are assisting with shipping larger items to Ireland or the rest of Europe we will get in touch with our recommended couriers on your behalf. Once a cost for delivery has been received, we will get in touch to confirm the price. All items must be paid for before they leave our premises with our recommended courier. Under no circumstances does the Auctioneer accept any liability whatsoever for any loss or damage howsoever occasioned in the course of such service.

Terms & Conditions
CONDITIONS OF SALE
- All lots are made available for inspection before each sale and each buyer. No reference is made as to the condition of in the catalogue, but this does not imply that it is free of faults or restoration. Interested parties are deemed to have viewed the item{s} which they intend to bid for and to have fully satisfied themselves as to the condition of the same. Condition reports may be supplied by the Auctioneer on request in written or verbal form, but these are merely statements of opinion by the Auctioneer, and any error or omission in these reports may not be taken as grounds for a cancellation of sale or refund of any part of the purchase price or the cost of any repairs to the lot or lots reported on.
- The highest bidder shall be the purchaser, & any dispute arising either before, during or after the sale, shall be determined by the Auctioneer. The auctioneer reserves the rights to bid on behalf of clients including vendors, but shall not be liable for errors or omissions in executing instructions to bid.
- The Auctioneer may refuse to take any bid without giving any reason.
- Purchasers shall give their bidding number after the sale of each lot, and shall arrange for the removal of same at their own expense, of the lots so purchased on the delivery day stated, without causing damage to either the premises or other lots. Any lots not so removed may be re – sold by the Auctioneer, and any deposits forfeited. No items may be removed from sale without a paid invoice.
- Lots bought by auction can be delivered by courier or packing and Postal service available.
- The goods remain on the premises at the purchaser’s risk from the fall of the hammer.
- The purchase money together with 19% Auctioneer’s fees and Vat @ 23% on the fees shall be payable immediately after the auction. No lots will be delivered to the purchaser until he/she has made payment in full. Payments may be made in cash, Credit transfer, Debit / Credit Card or guaranteed cheques, No third party cheques
- A Cash Origin Form must be filled in by the Purchaser for all cash payments exceeding € 500.00.
- Should a purchaser fail to comply with these conditions, he/she may forfeit the deposit & the Auctioneer may re – sell the lot or lots as he deems fit. Any deficiency in the price at the second sale shall be made good by the first purchaser but any surplus shall belong to the vendor.
- Victor Mee Auctions Ltd do not accept responsibility for lots damaged by changes in atmospheric conditions nor shall Victor Mee Auctions Ltd be liable for any damage to glass or picture frames
- Default, Victor Mee Auctions Ltd Disclaims responsibility for default by either the purchaser or the vendor because he acts as the agent for the vendor only & therefore does not pay out to the vendor until payment is received from the purchaser.
- All prospective buyers by making a bid for any of the lots advertised in the catalogue acknowledge that their attention has been drawn to these conditions of sale & that they are bound by them. Any offer made through our website, by telephone or on line is considered as a bid, and is therefore will be taken as full agreement to all the above conditions and binding if a winning bid.
- The Auctioneer or his employees may, on request may order on the buyer's behalf third parties to ship purchases. Under no circumstances does the Auctioneer accept any liability whatsoever for any loss or damage howsoever occasioned in the course of such service.
Online Bidding
Victor Mee Auctions offer an online bidding service via the-saleroom.com for bidders who cannot attend the sale.
In completing the bidder registration on www.the-saleroom.com and providing your credit card details and unless alternative arrangements are agreed with Victor Mee Auctions :
- confirm that you are authorised to provide these card details to Victor Mee Auctions through www.the-saleroom.com and agree that Victor Mee Auctions are entitled to ship the goods to the card holder name and card holder address provided in fulfilment of the sale.
Please note that any lots purchased via the-saleroom.com live auction service will be subject to an additional 3% commission charge at the rate imposed on the hammer price
