A late 19c French carriage clock in glazed brass corniche type case, the two train movement striking on a gong and having its original silvered lever platform escapement. The plain white rectangular enamel dial has Roman numerals and moon hands and the retailer`s name T Martin & Co, 225 Regent Street, London. The movement is stamped A M Francois Avsene Margaine and the clock stands 6.5" tall (handle raised).
