A CHINESE SWORD (DAO) WITH SILVERED IRON MOUNTS, QING DYNASTY, 18TH/19TH CENTURY with slightly curved broad blade double-edged towards the point, formed with a full-length fuller and a shorter fuller along the back-edge on each face, octagonal iron guard (loose) decorated in silver with scrolling foliage in low relief on each face, iron ferrule and ~Court Hat~ pommel each decorated with silver, the former en suite with the guard and the latter with geometrical designs, fabric-covered grip, in its fishskin-covered wooden scabbard with characteristic iron mounts decorated with silver en suite with the hilt, with an associated leather thong and a silvered iron suspension 69.0 cm; 27 ¼ in blade
