A George III Harewood Work Box, rectangular, crossbanded in satinwood and edged with box, the lid revealing an olive silk lined compartmented interior containing numerous original and associated accessories, including a lathe ivory turned basket pin cushion, snow flakes, a variety of other thread winders, six turned bone thread barrels, gold, engraved bodkin case, two sewing clamps, an awl, and a pique necessaire (damage), a slim fascia drawer also containing numerous items including an 18th century silk and embroidered purse worked in silvered thread and coloured silks with strawberry and cornflower meanders, and a basket of pansies, strawberries and other flowers, containing feathers and painted gauze, two miser's purses, and threads, {30.5cm wide} (box requires restoration, numerous veneers and mouldings lifting).
