A George III mahogany glazed secretaire-bookcase - the flared, dentil cornice over a fluted and foliate paterae-decorated frieze, above a pair of 13-pane astragal glazed doors enclosing an interior with six adjustable shelves and four drawers beneath, lined in pale-green watered-silk-style paper, the base with a deep faux-front secretaire drawer above two long graduated drawers, with the original gilt brasses, the secretaire with a well-fitted interior with ten drawers, four pigeonholes, a secret drawer and a green baize writing surface, on ogee bracket feet (feet reduced in height). (LWH 152 x 75 x 247 cm), with keys.
