City Lights (1931) . Original US lobby card. . Unframed: 11 x 14 in. (28 x 36 cm). Framed: 16 1/2 x 19 1/2 in. (42 x 49.5 cm). . Conservation framed with UV plexiglass. . Very little original US advertising material is known to have survived on this title.. . This is one of Charlie Chaplin's greatest films. It was released in 1931 when sound had already been out for a few years. Chaplin chose to make this particular film without sound, which did not affect the film's box office success.. . Excellent condition, colours remaining very bright. There are corner pinholes, some of which have been restored.. . Material of piece: Paper. Material of frame: Obeche wood, card mount and UV plexiglass. . PROVENANCE:. . Formerly in the Wood Hall Collection for over twenty years.
