In the four corners are 38 mm vignettes of an eagle perched on a snake (similar to the 1837 Feuchtwanger cent; a representation of the Libertas Americana medal obverse; U.S. flag much like those on Civil War tokens; and a U.S. shield under an All-Seeing Eye. The entire Declaration of Independence in arched text occupies the top central portions. The " BATTLE ROLL OF THE REVOLUTION," is a chronological list of the major battles and military events of the Revolutionary War, from 1774 to the Peace of Paris in 1783. Also included is a list of Presidents that includes Washington to Buchanan. The plaque is in excellent condition, with pristine rich brown original surfaces. The original frame is quite handsome, but the gilding is faded, and has some minor damage.
