Jacob Marsh, son of George Marsh of Abbey Milton (Milton Abbas) in Dorset, clerk, was apprenticed to William Lukin in 1726 and turned over to Gabriel Sleath 1731, free 1741, entered his mark as Largeworker 24 April 1744, with address of a "Swithings Lane, Lomber [Lombard] Street." He moved to Unicorn in Cornhill, circa 1760.
